THERE ARE SOME JOKES I DON'T GET

There are these groups on Facebook.com that say "I lost my phone and need new numbers." And everyone in my Facebook.com Newsfeed is always joining or leaving one of these kinds of groups. I think it's supposed to be a joke.

But what does it mean?
